About Me

I'm Joshua Pierce. I've worked in IT since 2020, starting as a systems administrator and moving into technical governance for a managed service provider. Most of my days are spent auditing environments, setting standards, and making sure the systems businesses depend on are secure and built the way they should be.

What I work on

Why this site exists

I'm growing my skillset into data analytics, and I learn best by building things and breaking them. When learning, you will break things and eventually will need to fix it. Don't be afraid to test, fail, test again, fail again. Always ask "why?" and "how?" and do not let your curiosity prevent you from learning.

This site is where I put the lessons and practice tools I make along the way, starting with SQL. If they help me, I figure they'll help someone else too. The point is to make learning tech easier and more accessible. When I was starting out, I didn't start learning anything of value until I had hands on experience. Wherever you are in your career or education, I hope these tools are useful, valuable, and easily accessible; as all knowledge should be.
